Paul Quagliata Engineering Award - Donated by SEW-Eurodrive - TAFE level Replaces the Norman Bennett Engineering Award - TAFE Level
The award is to an engineering student that has excelled in the field of engineering. The combination of an apprenticeship in a sugar-oriented engineering trade tertiary level course is desirable but not an essential element. The award is centred on the region in which the Conference is being conducted.
Selection made by
The Chairman of the Manufacturing Section, who has the prime responsibility of deciding on the basis of advice from staff engineers at the local Mills.
Selection has to be done by the second day of Conference in order to allow time for engraving the presentation plaque and for advising the successful candidate.
An engraved plaque, cheque for $250 plus a funded trip to SEW's works in Melbourne to experience the scope of the facilities are the components of this award.
