HOW A PRIMARY INDUSTRY adapts to disruption and economic shocks can determine its resilience to future shocks. In the case of the New Zealand kiwifruit industry, significant economic shocks have changed the industry structure and how it operates. Development of a collective strategic vision supported by innovation has played an important role in adapting the industry to the current and future consequences of these economic shocks.
