ASSCT has two types of awards - the President's medals and bursaries.
The President of the conference each year awards two medals, and these are for the best research paper and the best industry paper. The recipients of the awards are chosen by the President, although he may seek expert advice, on a confidential basis, from other members of the society.
The bursaries are all in memory of people who have made a significant contribution to the sugar industry and ASSCT. The winners of the bursaries are chosen by relevant members of the society.
